Occupational Therapy & Our Approach
“Play is the answer to how anything new comes about.”
Jean Piaget
We often think of play as inconsequential, however for kids, it is a critical part of how they learn, acquire and refine new skills. What may look simple to an adult is in fact a sophisticated process of observation, interpretation, and problem solving. This is how kids lay the foundations on which all future learning rests.
As experienced occupational therapists, we use a play-based approach to assessment and treatment. It allows us to observe and assess your child's strengths and challenges. It also ensures that children remain engaged and motivated throughout sessions.
At Nodl, we design individualised plans tailored specifically to your child's goals, and support development across a variety of areas including Fine Motor, Gross Motor, School readiness, Social and Emotional Learning, Self Regulation, Visual Perception, Cognition, Sensory Processing and mastering everyday activities.
